If you’re reading this you’ve either read some of my work or you’re thinking of hiring me (it’s the best decision available — I promise).
My first experience truly falling in love with storytelling was during a creative writing prompt in my 8th grade English class. We had to write a story — any story— in 15 minutes. I wrote a short rhyming story about a misguided Halloween monster (it was in October) and remember making everyone laugh. Even my teacher.
While the content has changed throughout the years that feeling has always stuck with me.
I love telling stories. Whether it be breaking an alleged sexual assault cover-up on campus or helping report a professor’s rumored ties to ISIS, I’ve used my reporting to truthfully and accurately tell whatever story needed to be told.
While I’ve made sure to learn how to shoot video and photography, I’m most passionate about writing. Digital or print, hard news or sports, newswriting or long-form — I’ve tried to develop a skill set that would give an opportunity to cover whatever I can.
So, in short, I hope this gives you a better picture of who I am.
